Samantha Igo is the Communications Specialist for the Global Economic Governance Initiative (GEGI) at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center. She develops and executes communications and outreach strategies across traditional press, social media and email and event marketing. She also leads communications for the Task Force on Climate, Development and the International Monetary Fund and supports a variety of graphic design needs, including Center-wide projects such as the Strategic Plan or bespoke infographics and figures for research products.
Previously, Sam worked as social media manager and speechwriter for the Comptroller of Maryland as well as communications director for Maryland State Senator Mary Washington. She received her MA in Public Anthropology from Boston University, and she holds a BA in Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University.
