Accepting Applications – Communications and Outreach Associate

This is a newly created position to help convene and incubate a global Task Force on Financing a Green and Inclusive COVID-19 Recovery. This is a 12-month position with the potential of renewal.

The Communications & Outreach Associate supports the operations for strategic communications and outreach programs for the task force. This role reports the Director and Assistant Director of the Global Development Policy Center.

This position will make vital decisions on how to best accomplish assigned projects and tasks with contending timelines. This role will craft content for the Center’s public communications including website maintenance, blog posts, social media content, flyers for events, and YouTube channel, etc.

As a policy-oriented research center, we are passionate about data driven-decision making. Therefore, the Associate will develop and own a system to evaluate metrics to ensure the efficiencies of outreach efforts for the Center and recommending improvements.

Leads all aspects of logistics surrounding various events such as lectures, conferences, workshops, etc. The Associate will secure event spaces, schedule Zoom webinars, draft promotional materials, work with vendors for catering, travel, lodging, and collaborate closely with speakers and event sponsors.

Due to COVID-19, this is a remote position with the possibility of working on-campus later in the year.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s Degree required. 3-5 years’ experience. Must know MS Office Suite, familiar with Hubspot, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, HTML, Twitter, Facebook.
