Green Global Recovery in the Time of COVID-19: The Potential for Debt Swaps Solutions in Three Developing Countries

The Capstone Course on Global Development brings together participants of M.A. Global Development Programs from the Boston University Pardee School of Global Studies and the Department of Economics to develop skills in development project work. The Capstone Course combines theoretical lectures with student-led research on real-world challenges.

A group of student researchers investigated the challenges of the global economy and will present “Green Global Recovery in the Time of COVID-19: The Potential for Debt Swaps Solutions in Three Developing Countries.” The study was supervised by Janine Ferretti, Professor of Global Development Policy, in collaboration with Paul Steele, Senior Economist at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and Scott Vaughan, Senior Fellow at International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and International Chief Advisor of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED).
