Discussion with José Antonio Ocampo and Jin Liqun
Boston University President Robert A. Brown and Provost Jean Morrison are pleased to invite you to Brighter Prospects or Rose Colored Glasses? New Views on the Global Economy.
Financial leaders from across the world are convening in Washington to cautiously celebrate what the International Monetary Fund sees as “brighter prospects.” Amidst the return of synchronized growth in the world economy for the first time since the global financial crisis of 2008, emerging market and developing countries still have concerns. Is there justification for such complacency ten years after the global financial crisis? Is the return to global growth a permanent one and in a form that can bring sustained economic development across the globe?
Please join the Boston University Global Development Policy Center as we convene two of the world’s foremost leaders in global development finance for a timely discussion of the pressing questions facing investors and policymakers from the Western Hemisphere to Asia and beyond.
Our experts include:
- José Antonio Ocampo, Co-Chair, Central Bank of Colombia
- Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank
- Kevin P. Gallagher (moderator), Director of the BU Global Development Policy Center
A reception will follow.
Wednesday, April 18, 2018, 5:30 – 7:30 pm
