Your gateway to the Charles River is at the Boston University Sailing Pavilion! The Sailing Pavilion is open to the BU community as well as the general public for recreational sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddle board use. Our Learn to Sail classes offer the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of small boat sailing, including steering and handling sails, boat rigging, and knot tying.
All are invited to take an instructional sailing class or purchase a seasonal or monthly sailing pass for recreational sailing. Day passes are also available, but be sure to confirm the pavilion hours (see above) prior to purchasing your day pass.
Spend some time sailing and experience the profound effect that spending time outdoors and on the water can have on your mind, body, and soul.
Directions
To access the Sailing Pavilion: use the pedestrian bridge behind the Law School to access the Esplanade. At the bottom of the stairs, continue straight (west), and the pavilion is just before the BU Bridge.
