Camp Terrier
Camp Counselor
Camp Terrier is a day camp that operates at the Fitness and Recreation Center and offers a variety of different interest areas for campers to choose from including: Arts & Recreation, Sports & Recreation, Sailing, Dance and Outdoor Adventures. The 2022 camp season will run from June 20 – August 19, Monday-Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm.
Camp Terrier is looking for hardworking, dedicated, and energetic individuals who enjoy working with children/teens ages 5 – 15 to work as counselors. All interested candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience working with children/teens in an educational, camp, or sports setting is preferred. Applicants must hold current certifications in Adult & Child CPR/AED and First Aid. One First Aid and CPR certification class will be offered during staff training week, June 13 – 16, to ensure all staff are certified prior to the start of camp.

Route Setter

Climbing Wall Attendant

Aerial Dance Instructor - Fall 2022
We are looking for experienced instructors able to commit to weekly schedule for the following: Adult Aerial Silks (Beginner and Intermediate level classes), Adult Mixed Apparatus classes (a combination of Silks, Lyra, and Trapeze), as well as classes focused on the development and performance of aerial dance choreography. There may also be opportunities to teach children’s aerial classes, as well as privates, duets, or small groups.

Pilates Mat Instructor - Fall 2022
Seeking a Pilates Mat Instructor to teach Pilates-Based Conditioning on Mondays from 4:30 – 5:20pm as part of the credit Dance program. Fitness Attendant (Blackstone location)

As a fitness attendant, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe exercise environment at the BU Fitness Center, serving the South End community near BU’s Medical Campus. You are responsible for providing customer service, overseeing participants, and monitoring rule compliance. Attendants will work closely with individual members of this close-knit community as they help them to reach their fitness goals. The position is at the Blackstone Community Center, accessible from the Charles River Campus by a roughly 25-minute BU shuttle ride. The Marketing Communications Assistant will assist with all aspects of marketing communication at FitRec, including but not limited to: social media contributions, research, newsletter writing, calendar postings, broadcast emails, collateral printing and distribution, and dissemination of promotional materials around campus and in the community. The Marketing Communications Assistant will manage sponsorship fulfillment for national and local sponsors, and will also create and manage photos and video.
