Professor Perspectives: How Higher Education is Changing in an Anti-DEI Era

Spencer Piston, associate professor of political science, will explore changes in higher education in recent years, particularly in light of evolving federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) restrictions. He will also analyze key policy shifts under the Trump Administration, including the rollback of DEI programs in federal agencies and changes to immigration policy. Finally, he will place these developments in historical context, in order to discuss how we arrived at this moment. Co-sponsored by CAS DEI Student Council. Free food will be served.
