What time do I have to arrive at Commencement?

You don’t want to be late for this very important date.

For Sunday’s All-University Commencement ceremony on Nickerson Field, you will want to report to Harry Agganis Way by 12:15 pm. At that point, you will follow signage there to get to your exact school/college lineup location. Don’t worry – there will be staff members (either in white BU hats or in official University regalia) to direct you if you need help.

Make sure you are carrying (not wearing) your cap and gown when you arrive to All-University Commencement. You will have to carry it through a brief security screening, then go to your lineup location where you can put it on.

What if you’re late? If you arrive after 12:15 pm, you do not get to sit with your specific school/college. You get bunched together with other latecomers. Please keep that in mind on Sunday and try to get there by 12:15pm.
