Theme: Teaching Through Experiential Learning
The Lightning Talks speaker event is a reflection and learning forum where Boston University faculty and invited guests identify areas of challenge and opportunity and share strategies for engaging educational experiences in the in-person environment. The speaker series, co-hosted by the Digital Learning & Innovation Office, the Center for Teaching & Learning, and the BU HUB, is open to BU faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdoctoral scholars.
Experiential Learning allows students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world situations. In this online Lightning Talk, faculty offer a variety of approaches to experiential learning at Boston University, from classroom-based scenarios and cultural events outside the classroom, to semester-long projects in Boston communities.
Topics include:
- Designing Experiential Learning
- EL and Student Reflection: Predictions, Process, and Transfer
- Teaming for Experiential Learning
