Application for AS

CAAPID Online Application

Applications to Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s DMD Advanced Standing Program must be submitted through the common application service CAAPID (Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists). The CAAPID application is administered by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA). CAAPID allows international dentists to submit an online application and a set of credentials that will be distributed by ADEA to Admissions at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Supplemental materials may be requested from selected applicants. All submitted materials become part of the admissions file and cannot be returned.

If you have questions about the CAAPID application, please contact CAAPID customer service at caapidinfo@caapid.org or 617-612-2035.

DMD Advanced Standing Supplemental Fee

After Boston University receives the CAAPID application, Admissions will email the applicant instructions on how to submit the Boston University $75 supplemental fee.  The supplemental fee is payable by debit or credit card through the Boston University Applicant Gateway’s secure online fee payment system.

We ask that the fee submission be accomplished within two weeks of the email request from Admissions.  Submission of the Boston University supplemental fee is an application requirement.  Application completion is required for consideration for an interview invitation.

The supplemental fee is separate from CAAPID fees.

The supplemental fee is nonrefundable and is not credited toward any charges when an accepted applicant registers as a student.

COVID-19

Boston University conducts a holistic application review and will be flexible in consideration of COVID-19 related limitations: see the GSDM Admissions COVID-19 Statement to Applicants.
