New Eco-Friendly Reusable Gowns in SLC Following ASDA Sustainability Multi-Year Audit
Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, reusable gowns will be used in the school’s Simulation Learning Center, replacing disposable gowns and helping to reduce the volume of single-use waste produced by the dental school. This change comes after a three-year-long audit initiated by the Sustainability Committee of GSDM’s American Student Dental Association (ASDA) chapter. More

“The Power of Collaboration and Compassion:” GSDM Class of 2025 International Elective Externship Participants Discuss Aboard Clinical Experiences in Rural Communities
During the 2024-2025 academic year, GSDM students, alumni, and faculty participated in “mission trips” to five countries as part of the school’s International Elective Externship program, which offers fourth-year DMD students an opportunity to provide dental care outside of a typical clinical situation to individuals who lack regular access to care. GSDM Community Volunteered Over 1,200 Hours During 2025 Global Days of Service
One hundred and thirty-four GSDM alumni, students, residents, faculty, and staff contributed 1,255 volunteer hours during the 2025 Boston University Global Days of Service, an annual university-wide community service initiative that gives back to local, national, and international communities.
