Statistical Support

Biostatistical support for research is critical to GSDM’s students, residents and faculty. We have partnered with the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Data Analytics Center (BEDAC) at the School of Public Health to provide statistical consultations to the GSDM research community on a fee-for-service basis.

Payment options for consultation services will vary:

Consultation fees for postdoctoral residents may be paid from the resident’s Student Research Fee.
Consultation fees for Predoctoral students may be paid from their mentor’s grant or department restricted fund (discretionary, gift, endowment).
Consultation fees for faculty may be paid by grant or department restricted fund (discretionary, gift, endowment).
For those without access to funds to finance for statistical consultations, we recommend using the services provided by the BU CTSI or the MSSP Consulting service.

The Research office offers pre-submission grant review assistance to all GSDM faculty, residents and students. This service is offered to any member of the GSDM community who intends to apply for extramural funding. The Research office will solicit the help of established researchers on the Boston University Medical Campus.
