With the intercession period coming up, please take some time to browse this announcement to see what funding opportunities are available to support your professional development or provide additional resources for your classes. We also list the recent DL&I-CTL “Creativity and Spirit” awards that will recognize members of the BU community for their “above and beyond” work in the Learn from Anywhere framework.

CTL is delighted to share these funding opportunities with you, listed in order of application deadline.

Graduate Student Teaching Fund

For graduate student instructors who will be teaching their own class in Spring 2021: please see these details for requirements and application form is you would like to apply for support for resources to assist you in your teaching. We will begin reviewing applications on January 14, 2021.

Adobe Catalyst Program

The Adobe Catalyst program matches experiences Adobe Creative Cloud users with faculty who would like to learn more about the Adobe tools for their classes. Please see these details for information about the program requirements. Applications close on January 18, 2021.

Digital Learning & Innovation and the Center for Teaching & Learning “Creativity and Spirit” Awards

These awards are for instructors (faculty and graduate students), faculty coaches, and student classroom moderators who contributed “above and beyond” in the Learn from Anywhere framework. Please note there are two rounds of nominations (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021), with Fall nominations closing on January 22, 2021.

Part-time Lecturer Professional Development fund

These funds support the professional development of part-time lecturers. For more information, please check the requirements and application process here. If you are not sure if your request falls within the guidelines for the fund, please email ctl@bu.edu with “Part-time Lecturer Professional Development Fund” in the subject line and provide details of your proposed application.

Salaried and Full-time Lecturer Professional Development fund

These funds support the professional development of part-time lecturers. For more information, please check the requirements and application process here. If you are not sure if your request falls within the guidelines for the fund, please email ctl@bu.edu with “Salaried Lecturer Professional Development Fund” in the subject line and provide details of your proposed application.

Hub Course Enhancement Funds

These funds support faculty with innovative approaches to teaching in courses with Hub Learning Outcomes. Awards are usually capped at $500 and are approved on a rolling basis. Check out the requirements and applications process here.
