DevOps is not new. It has gone through multiple manifestations throughout the past 15 years, everywhere from IT for engineering to engineering support. Interested in learning more about what DevOps is really about? How is it used in the Industry today? What does DevOps look like in a corporate setting and what role does it play? Adam Arakelian will talk about what DevOps means and the audience will explore how DevOps is used across a major organization today, the scale aspects of DevOps and how DevOps is not agile.

Adam Arakelian currently works at Dell EMC as a Director of Engineering in charge of contributing to a multibillion dollar product line as well as moving a 5K+ engineering organization forward using DevOps. He has been in the technology industry for over 20 years and has been teaching at Boston University for just over 13 years as a part-time lecturer. He has built many products and systems as well as his own organization and run many large product and development groups. His area of expertise is in the integration of technology with business to drive revenue profitability and help businesses leverage technology to deliver business value efficiently, effectively and with the highest quality possible.
