Application materials for graduate admissions and financial aid are available through the Admissions Office of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences. Please note that the application fee must be paid for an application to be processed.
Required Tests for PhD applicants
- GRE: While recommended, given the impacts of COVID-19, general GRE test scores are optional for Fall 2021 AND Fall 2022 admissions. A lack of GRE scores will not adversely affect your application. The subject test is not required. (Note, if you plan to submit your GRE score, but it’s not available by the application deadline, it can be submitted at a later date by contacting the Department of Computer Science.)
- TOEFL: is required for international applicants or applicants who did not receive a degree at an English-speaking institution applying to eithre the MS or PhD program. Please refer to the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences international students admission information.
Doctoral (PhD) Program Deadlines
- Fall semester admission: December 15
All applications and materials should be submitted electronically through the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences.
PhD admissions decisions are typically completed by April 15 (fall semester admission). Financial aid decisions are made separately (usually after admissions decision). Due to the volume of applications received, we request that applicants do not inquire about their applications before this date.
You may request Financial Aid on the graduate application.
