The Massive Data, Algorithms, and Systems group is a part of the Department of Computer Science at Boston University. We conduct research on many aspects of database management systems & advanced database applications, as well as data mining with an emphasis on the algorithmic aspects of problems. Current projects focus on secure data management systems, multimedia and spatio-temporal databases, social-network analysis, analysis of sequential data, ranking, clustering, and bioinformatics.
