Stories are at the heart of the CFA Communications office.

As a community of artists and scholars who are committed to improving the lives of others through art, there is an extraordinary amount of storytelling to do at CFA! Our office’s goal is to share the stories of CFA – the stories of our students, our alumni, our faculty, and our staff – in a thoughtful and strategic manner, staying consistent with BU’s central brand. We amplify our stories through internal and external communications, including digital ads, news, social media coverage, video, and more!

Please explore this section to learn more about the College’s brand guidelines and the different channels available to share your story. We look forward to working with you.

Snapshot of Our Services

CFA's brand lives and breathes in everyday interactions with members of the community. Our goal as College communicators is to tell CFA’s unique story while staying consistent with BU’s central brand identity. We promote the College’s flagship events through internal University communications and external communications. We oversee the production of our award-winning CFA magazine. We pitch moving stories to BU TodayBostonia, and external media outlets. We showcase our students, faculty, and alumni on CFA's social media channels. We create videos highlighting individuals in their artistry and unconventional points-of-views of productions, rehearsals, and facilities.

And this is just a glimpse of what we do. Take a look at our Brand Identity & Standards for more.

Our Work in Action

Each year, the College produces two issues of CFA magazine, telling the stories of our alums and how they're breaking barriers and making the arts more inclusive and relevant for all. We're proud to say that every issue of CFA magazine since the inaugural issue of CFA has been award-winning!
