Rina Lam Goldfield (she/her) is a teacher and artist making paintings, books, and drawings. She makes her own grounds and paints, including magnetic paint out of iron, steel, and magnetite shavings, and pigments ground from local stones. She was a research fellow at the Beinecke Library in 2022, where she studied (actual) bookworms and the New York Public Library in 2023, where she researched friendship albums, collaborative scrapbooks made by female friends in the 17th – 19th centuries. Her work has been shown at Perrotin (NY), North Loop (MA), and Nightclub (MN) galleries among others.

As a teacher, Rina builds meaningful relationships with students and emphasizes material experimentation. She has taught elementary, middle, high school, college, and graduate students, and loves working with artists at all phases of development.
