Student Engagement Intern | IN 299 | Fall 2026
The EL Connector partners with select BU offices to make available each semester a number of on-campus internship placements. Students selected for these on-campus internships are expected to take IN 299 while they intern.
The OSPL Student Engagement Intern can expect to collaborate with student leaders and the three full time staff of OSPL to plan, oversee and assess various events for the CAS community. The intern will help plan time-tested events such as our Professor Perspectives series and will also imagine and oversee younger initiatives such as our Student Leadership Workshop and Leadership Lunches. There is room for creativity and innovation in this role and there are opportunities to learn from the past success of annual events such as Midnight Breakfast.
Our intern can expect to fine tune their event planning skills, practice professional written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences (other students, faculty, staff and vendors), gain networking capabilities, learn how to adjust initiatives based on feedback and experience the workflow of a student-centered professional office serving nearly 8,000 undergraduate students.
Rate of pay: $15.50/hour
Supervisor: Stacy Ulrich, Director of Student Programs and Leadership

Coursework includes regular reading assignments, individual and collaborative writing exercises, and a team-based final project.
You must submit a separate application for each on-campus position that is of interest. The priority deadline for applying for an on-campus internship placement is April 24th, 2026.
If selected for an on-campus internship, a seat will be held for you in IN 299. However, in order to officially enroll in the course, you are responsible for submitting a completed application by June 2, 2025.
