Museums
Gallery Talk: María Berrío at Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston
Join artist María Berrío as she discusses her new exhibition María Berrío: The Children’s Crusade. In her collages and watercolors, Berrío explores the historic religious Children’s Crusade of 1212 when thousands of children walked from Italy to France. Throughout this journey, these children sang songs, told stories, and produced artwork, all of which inspired Berrío’s collection.

Free Tours at Nichols House Museum for International Women’s Day
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Nichols House Museum is offering free tours. Located in Boston’s beautiful Beacon Hill neighborhood, the museum will place special focus on the lives of the Nichols sisters, domestic staff, and local artists who have lived in the house throughout its history.

Utopia Seaport Festival
New England’s horticultural and epicurean festival invites attendees to “eat, drink, shop, and be inspired.” The event features garden and floral installations; over 100 local vendors selling home decor, house plants, and kitchen essentials; lectures on sustainable living and wellness; and interactive workshops and beverage tastings.

Roller-Skating at SoWa
Love to roller-skate or looking to try it out? Boston’s South of Washington Art and Design District (SoWa) is hosting a disco-themed roller-skating event at its Power Station. With various DJs and a mix of retro-disco music, you’ll be transported back in time! Skates will be available to rent on a first come, first served basis.

Hamilton
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical Hamilton is performing in Boston until mid-March. Using blends of hip-hop, jazz, and R&B, the show tells the story of Alexander Hamilton and America’s founding fathers during the Revolutionary War. It won 11 2016 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the Pulitzer Prize for drama.

Somerville Winter Farmers Market
Need a break from Boston? Take the MBTA Red Line to Somerville and check out their Winter Farmers Market. Featuring over 50 local vendors, the market is stocked with fresh produce, baked goods, succulents, clothing, and more.

Harvard Square Chocolate Tour
Calling all chocolate lovers and enthusiasts, Harvard Square is hosting a chocolate tour in collaboration with Off the Beaten Path Food Tours. During this hour-and-a-half tour, you can sample a variety of chocolates, doughnuts, and other treats across Harvard Square.

Film Screening: Unsilenced
Grab some popcorn and snacks for this free screening of Leon Lee’s Unsilenced. Based on true events, the film tells the story of a university student and his friends and how they are impacted by the 1999 crackdown of the Falun Gong spiritual practice in China. Along the way, the students meet an American reporter and must decide whether to expose the government or stay behind closed doors.

BU Women’s Basketball Patriot League Quarterfinals
Should the Terriers win the quarterfinals, they will advance to the semifinals on March 9, and then the finals on March 12. The Terriers are 17-0 in the Patriot League (22-6 overall)—first place—and also top three in the nation in three-point shooting.
