Welcome back, Terriers! After a week of reading syllabi, finding your classrooms, and settling back into campus life, chances are your workload hasn’t gotten too overwhelming just yet. So why not make the most of it? Especially since we have a three-day holiday weekend (Labor Day is Monday).

From cheering on the Terriers at Nickerson Field to putting your trivia knowledge to the test, plenty is happening on and around campus this weekend. Grab some friends, take advantage of the last days of summer weather, and start the semester off with some fun.

BU Women’s Soccer v. Harvard

Nothing says back-to-school like a little rivalry, so don’t miss the BU women’s soccer team taking on Harvard Thursday night at Nickerson Field. Boston College may be BU’s most famous rival, but the Terriers and Crimson have plenty of history of their own. Head over after class and cheer on BU with some friends.

Thursday, September 3, 6 pm, Nickerson Field, 285 Babcock St.

Think Fast Trivia Night

Think you know a little bit about everything? Assemble a team of up to six friends and put that knowledge to the test at ThinkFast Trivia Night Thursday night. Teams will compete for a $500 cash prize, with additional prizes for second-and third-place finishers. And even if trivia isn’t your strong suit, there’s still a pretty good consolation prize: free Domino’s pizza. Sponsored by BU’s Student Leadership & Impact Center as part of its Weeks of Welcome programming.

Thursday, September 3, 7 to 9 pm, Ziskind Lounge, George Sherman Union, second floor, 775 Commonwealth Ave. RSVP here.

BU Fall Arts Fair

Whether you’re an aspiring artist or simply someone who appreciates the arts, stop by the Fall Arts Fair at the GSU Friday afternoon. The BU Office for the Arts, BU arts programs, and Boston-area arts organizations will be tabling with information about upcoming events, special offers, discounts, internship opportunities, and more. You can also enter a giveaway for two free tickets to an off-campus arts event.

Friday, September 4, 11 am to 2 pm, Ziskind Lounge, George Sherman Union, second floor, 775 Commonwealth Ave.

BU Men’s Soccer vs. New Hampshire

Friday, September 4, 6 to 8 pm, Nickerson Field, 285 Babcock St.

BU at Time Out Market

Take a break from the dining hall and explore one of Boston’s most popular food destinations with fellow Terriers. Time Out has numerous food stalls including seafood, karaage chicken, spicy vegan chorizo, smoothies, and donuts. Come hungry and spend the night trying new cuisines, meeting other students, and exploring the Fenway neighborhood.

Friday, September 4, 10 pm to 12 am, Time Out Market Boston, 401 Park Dr. RSVP here

Splash

Want to perform on the stage, learn more about entomology, or join a cultural group or club sports team? Come to Splash—Boston University’s semiannual club fair. Hundreds of extracurricular groups will be there, and it’s also a great way to meet friends. A DJ will provide the soundtrack, and many organizations will hand out swag. Held rain or shine.

Saturday, September 5, noon to 2 pm, Nickerson Field.

BU Women’s Soccer v. Providence

Keep the Terrier spirit going at Nickerson Field as BU women’s soccer takes on Providence College. If you can’t make it to the field, you can also stream the game live.

BU Women’s Field Hockey v. Dartmouth
