NSF’s Science Nation Focuses on Photonics
Highlights use of light waves to diagnose and treat disease
The latest edition of Science Nation, the National Science Foundation’s online magazine, features a video describing the multidisciplinary research of Thomas Bifano, a Boston University College of Engineering (ENG) professor of mechanical engineering and director of BU’s Photonics Center; John Connor, associate professor of microbiology at BU’s School of Medicine and National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories virologist; Xue Han, ENG assistant professor of biomedical engineering; and Larry Ziegler, professor of chemistry at BU’s College of Arts & Sciences.
