Visiting the Real Monster
Big, green, and in Boston? It’s not Shrek

Many Boston legends have been born in the shadow of the Green Monster, from the (Reversed) Curse of the Bambino to Pedroia the Destoyah and Red Sox Nation. But being taken out to the ballpark doesn’t have to empty your wallet.
Fifty-minute walking tours of Fenway Park are available daily for fans who want to get up close and personal with their baseball icon. Visitors can put a hand on the Green Monster, scribble in the press box behind home plate, and get answers to any and all Sox questions from an expert guide.
Fenway is the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball, a legacy even Yankee fans can envy (even more so now, with their old stadium demolished in favor of a modern wind tunnel). So see where so much has come down — from fly balls to World Series championships — and on the way out pick up a souvenir, or at least some peanuts, on Yawkey Way.
Tours are offered on the hour weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., but stop three hours prior to a game. Adult tickets are $12, senior tickets are $11, and children’s tickets (ages 3 to 15) are $10.
All tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis (no scalpers necessary), subject to availability.
