ASC Unpaid Internship Funding Program
The ASC Unpaid Internship Funding Program is a new initiative that awards a $1500 stipend to students with unpaid off-campus internships relating to African Studies. In order to help students find, apply to and interview for opportunities, the ASC is hosting a series of info sessions and workshops on each piece. While only students with African studies relevant internships can apply for the funding, any student is allowed to attend to learn about applications, and seek mentorship in applying to internships. The application deadline for the Spring 2023 semester is October 20th.
Students are encouraged to attend any or as many sessions as they wish. While attendance is not weighed in the assessment of the funding applications, attending sessions can help ensure a strong application. Each of the three types of sessions will be offered twice, and recordings will be made available for students to watch. The same registration link is used for all six of the sessions offered, so you only need to register once, to gain access to any session. Register here.
