Danqi Lu delivered a presentation at the 2021 Production and Operations Management Society Conference

On May 3, 2021, Danqi Lu, who just completed her M.S. in Applied Business Analytics, presented her work at Production and Operations Management Society ‘s annual conference. The research project, which was performed in the MET Decision Sciences Research Lab, investigated humans’ ability to identify the “knee” of a queueing system’s “hockey-stick” curve that describes the relationship between server utilization and customer waiting time. She compared several analytical approaches to humans’ choices for a range of queuing configurations.
