Innovation Project
QST XP 298
Pre-requisite: QSTMO 221 and QSTSM 275; Questrom BSBA students only. The Core Innovation Project is designed to be the earliest exposure students have to real-world companies and learning how to grapple with questions that don’t have defined answers. In XP298, students will work in teams to develop creative ideas for a real company, drawing from their own viewpoints supplemented with skills associated with Critical Thinking, Teaming and Leadership, Design Thinking, Project Management, Consulting, and Innovation. Rather than a traditional lecture format, the course will replicate the experience of working in an innovation and research firm that specializes in Gen Z perspectives, developing both sharp and smart skills that help students be prepared for the business world. Effective Spring 2026, this course fulfills a single unit in each of the following BU Hub areas: Creativity/Innovation, Digital/Multimedia Expression, Teamwork/Collaboration.
