Pre-requisite: MSBA students only. This course examines the ethical, legal, and strategic dimensions of deploying artificial intelligence in business and society. Situated at the intersection of analytics, governance, and law, it covers responsible data practices, the design and integration of predictive and generative AI into organizational workflows, and the hands-on use of contemporary AI tools—including rapid prototyping (“vibe coding”) platforms. A central focus is placed on landmark AI lawsuits and regulatory disputes involving copyright, training data, liability, and platform responsibility, which are actively shaping the legal boundaries of AI use. The course equips students with a disciplined framework for evaluating competing stakeholder interests, assessing risks in AI-enabled products, and reasoning rigorously in contexts where clear-cut answers are rare. Students will leave the course prepared to identify governance challenges, propose defensible solutions, and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape—combining structured ethical judgment with practical AI fluency."
