Modern France
CAS HI 265
Examines the history of contemporary France from the 18th century to the Present. Traces France's historical trajectory from the French Revolutions to the Napoleonic era, the long nineteenth century, two world wars, European unification, to contemporary issues facing the country. Effective Fall 2026, this course fulfills a single requirement in each of the following BU Hub areas: Digital/Multimedia Expression, Global Citizenship and Intercultural Literacy, Historical Consciousness.
