Undergraduate Prerequisites: CASCH 203. Corequisite; CASCH 204P. - Fundamentals of contemporary chemistry, including electronic structure, stereochemistry, and reactions of important functional groups. Laboratory includes extraction, distillation, and chromatography. Three hours lecture, one hour discussion, one hour prelab lecture, and weekly two hours and forty-five minutes lab. Students registering for CASCH 204 must also register for CASCH 204P. Effective Fall 2019, this course fulfills a single unit in the following BU Hub areas: Quantitative Reasoning 1, Scientific Inquiry 1.
