Overview All current students, faculty, staff, and BU retirees are eligible for email accounts on either BU Google Apps or BU’s Microsoft Exchange server, as determined by your affiliation. 

Boston University’s 2010 and 2011 alumni are also welcome to set up a BU Google Apps account as described below.

Requirements To access  BU email services, an email account on a BU server is required (see Accounts & Access).

Getting Started
  • Once you have set up an email account as outlined at Accounts & Access, follow the instructions corresponding to your server type to access your mail.
  • Access your email at the central www.bu.edu/webmail portal.
  • Boston University’s 2010 and 2011 alumni are welcome to set up a BU Google Apps account, following the steps outlined in the ACS Transition – Quick Start Guide. If you experience any problems going through the process, please submit a Help request. A policy that covers all other Boston University alumni is in development.
