Overview The Links is a collection of portals that provide secure access to online services and confidential information for appropriate users. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and applicants for admission all enjoy one-stop access to the services they need, through The Links.

Benefits Each Link portal provides convenient, secure access from a single page to a collection of information and functions designed for a specific audience. Service owners can have their centrally managed web applications added to the appropriate portal and retain control of access.

  • Student Link

    Students can view their personal, academic, financial and other information relevant to their studies at Boston University. As a student, you can register for classes, pay your bills, buy Convenience Points, and maintain your personal information. You can also sponsor ShareLink login accounts to provide parents, employers, and other interested third parties secure access to view your academic and financial information — you specify the information available to each party and control the duration of access. Some information in the Student Link, such as the University Class Schedule, is publicly viewable; all student record information requires authentication (BU login).   • Faculty Link

    (BU login)

    Administrative systems available through the Faculty Link provide faculty access to class schedules, class lists, advisee lists, and final exam schedules, as well as academic and contact information for students in their current classes.   • Looking for the Employee Link?

    Beginning on June 29, 2011, employees should perform HR/payroll functions through the Employee Self-Service (ESS) tab located at the BUworks Central portal – www.bu.edu/buworkscentral.

  • Business Link

    (BU login)

    The Business Link provides academic and administrative staff access to payroll and personnel information, financial forms, and parking services. You must have a SecurID to use this service.   • ShareLink

    (BU login)

    ShareLink provides secure access to those parents, employers, and other interested third parties a student has authorized to view the student’s academic and financial information. The student must use the Student Link to sponsor a login account for each person who will have access.   • Looking for the Alumni Link?

    The Alumni Link is a former name for what is now known as the Alumni Online Community. Alumni can use the Online Community to access career tools, alumni networks, Email Forwarding for Life, and so on. Visit the Alumni Online Community.   • Students, faculty, and staff must have a BU login and Kerberos password.
  • Alumni must register for an Alumni account.
  • Those wishing to use ShareLink who do not have an account with BU must be sponsored to use the service.
  • To add or manage services, you must be a Business Owner or Business Process Owner.
