About Us

History
BU’s Sargent Choice Nutrition Center was established in 2004 to expand a successful pilot nutrition & physical activity program developed for BU faculty and staff. In 2005, the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center began collaborating with BU Dining Services, the Fitness and Recreation Center, the Office of Residence Life, Student Health Services, and Occupational Health to increase health and wellness opportunities across the Charles River Campus. Currently the Sargent Choice Nutrition Center is staffed by five, full-time, licensed registered dietitians and provides a variety of services to the BU community and the general public.
Mission
Our mission is to translate current, evidence-based research into practical food and activity recommendations to help individuals achieve realistic health goals in keeping with their lifestyle demands and preferences.
