Saturday 07/23/16 – Permission and permitting have been secured from the City to work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Miscellaneous abatement throughout building – Interior. Complete man and material hoist loading dock on the Beacon Street side of the building.
Installation of fibreC panels on the Cummington Mall side of the building will continue on mast climbers 1, 2, and 3 as well as installation of vertical supports for glass on the Commonwealth Avenue side. Miscellaneous roof detailing will be ongoing, and the high roof will continue under the cooling tower.
On Saturday, the following construction work will be occurring on site from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Demolition throughout building – Interior. Load out of dumpsters on the Beacon Street side of the building – Dumpster will be swapped throughout the day.
Brian Kelley has a tough job ahead of him this summer. A senior project manager with Compass Project Management, Kelley is responsible for transforming a once-glamorous 1920s Boston hotel into a modern residence hall. He is overseeing the two-year gutting of BU’s oldest dorm, Myles Standish Hall, and the Annex.
It’s a big job but somebody’s gotta do it. In this case, a really, really big job. And that somebody is FM&P. We did some pretty impressive preparations all over campus and behind the scenes for all our 25,000 guests and over 6,000 graduates.
