FIRST mentoring is an option and starts with training and meeting your teams in the fall; between Jan. and mid –February, you will spend about 8 hours each week with your FRC team during the weekdays and/or weekends. FIRST mentors travel by public transportation and enjoy extra networking to employers and sponsors. This year’s FIRST mentors will be supported in part by the founder of Boston Scientific.
Do you choose to mentor a FIRST robotics team at a local high school with other BU engineers?
We typically visit schools during the day, often on Fridays, and have group meetings on Friday afternoon. TISP requires about 3 hours each week. Please select any times that you are not free because you have another part-time job with fixed hours.
