Business Process Support Specialist

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for meeting the support needs for the client(s) as they relate to the applications used, directly or indirectly, for collecting, maintaining, and managing the data. Support will be provided electronically and by phone as agreed upon with the client

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support to users with relation to Oracle Clinical and related applications
  • Resolves Oracle Clinical related issues where possible and escalating support requests to management as appropriate
  • Logs and tracks requests for metrics reporting using appropriate tracking tool as specified by the client or the manager
  • Supports users by troubleshooting and resolving advanced technical issues
  • Assists with technical escalations within the team
  • Trains and follows sponsor’s Standard Operating Procedures as applicable
  • Moderate client contact in regard to technical issues
  • Performs additional duties and assignments as requested

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May be required to participate in a flexible coverage schedule based on business need

Required Experience

EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred (applicable experience may substitute for degree)
  • 1 to 2 years of Oracle Clinical or relational database experience
  • 1 to 2 years of programming experience (SQL preferred)
  • 1 year of technical support experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience with IT help desk support preferred
  • Prior experience with SQL programming preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to multitask effectively
  • Demonstrated strong customer service interaction skills
