Available to: Students, Faculty, Researchers, Staff, External Research Collaborators, Industrial Partners. Most of the web-based materials are available to the general public. Some of the classroom training sessions are available to the general research community.

Cost: No charge

Training and reference materials for learning how to use the research computing and visualization facilities include tutorials, presentations, and online help pages. Classroom training and live presentations are also occasionally offered.

  • Our classroom trainings are tailored to BU’s specific installation.
  • There is a comprehensive list of all software supported on the Shared Computing Cluster. There are also “getting started” pages for popular packages.
  • There are links to tutorials and reference materials written outside of BU which are also useful for getting started and becoming more proficient at using the computational and visualization facilities.
