Portfolio management is the process to prioritize and plan projects, in partnership with “Portfolio Managers” who represent the major organizations throughout the university. ServiceNow supports our Portfolio management process by capturing and tracking new project requests, as they are vetted and prioritized with our Portfolio Managers. Once a new project is approved, IS&T manages the project in partnership with clients using the Project Lifecycle Process. The Project Lifecycle Process provides a consistent way of managing projects, based on project management standards and our own best practices, so that we provide our clients and internal staff with a repeatable experience and consistently meet expectations. ServiceNow supports our Project Lifecycle process by tracking project information such as status, key team members, the project schedule, and overall project health during execution.
