Erin’s research interests include ethnic identity formation, race, immigration, immigrant family dynamics, and social networks, with a specific focus on Central American migration to the US. Her current work evaluates the strategies of separated immigrant families in restructuring their networks and neighborhoods to establish spaces of belonging amid a context of legal uncertainty.
