Maria Borba is a member of the Finance & Administration team at Sargent College and is responsible for directing all human resources and academic personnel operations. She provides guidance to managers, chairs, and the dean’s office on HR best practices at the University. In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Finance & Administration, Maria oversees workforce planning for Sargent College and applies in-depth knowledge of HR policies to manage all areas of talent acquisition, compensation, performance, onboarding, and community building for employees, faculty appointments and actions, and employee relations. Maria is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and in her spare time she enjoys volunteering with the Salvation Army, spending time with family, traveling and being by the ocean.
