Professor Cara Stepp Named New Speech Editor-in-Chief for JSLHR

Professor of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences Cara Stepp has been named the new editor-in-chief for the Speech section of the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR). Director of the Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering Lab, Stepp’s research interests include improving the assessment and treatment of sensorimotor disorders of voice and speech as well as contributing to the understanding of the relationships among neural control of movement, physiology, self-perception, acoustics, and listener auditory-perception of voice and speech.

She previously received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and an Early Faculty Career Development (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation.

She will begin her term as editor-in-chief on January 1, 2022.
