Occupational Therapy Students Win Sargent Challenge at BostonHacks!
Sargent College is proud to once again co-sponsor BostonHacks!, a 24-hour event where students from different disciplines use technology to solve global challenges while learning about the intersection of data, computer, and health sciences.
Hosted at Boston University, hundreds of students came together to work on challenge tracks including inclusive innovation, sustainable solutions, and digital dreamers.
The Sargent College challenge asked students to: Imagine a world where technology breaks down barriers to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities. Twelve teams provided submissions to the Sargent Challenge, and three students from Sargent’s Entry-Level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (EL-OTD) Program earned first place with their submission: “Anyone Can Cook! An Accessible Cooking Guide.” Congratulations to EL-OTD students Kaylee Panlilio, Lian Wong, and Abi Santos.
