2/25/08: BU Offers The Complete Rower Workshop
Workshop will address rowers’ individual needs to achieve maximum performance
(Boston) – A more thorough understanding of your body’s needs is essential to achieve maximum performance for rowers of all levels, from varsity members to recreational rowers. To help interested rowers achieve this level of athleticism, the BU Athletic Enhancement Center is now offering The Complete Rower as part of the Complete Athlete workshop series.
Any level rower looking to advance their skills can benefit from this educational workshop. The Complete Rower will help participants row more efficiently while also teaching them how to prevent injury. The workshop brings together staff members from the Athletic Enhancement Center and the Physical Therapy Center to work with athletes on specific training to meet their rowing needs. Staff members will emphasize peak performance by coaching participants in smarter training, proper nutrition and building confidence. The ratio of staff to athletes is purposely kept low in order to allow each participant individualized attention.
“Each participant will receive the individualized help they need to reach their full potential,” explains Noel Vigue, M.ED., CSCS, strength and conditioning coach. “These workshops are an efficient and fun way to really advance to that next stage of athleticism.”. “These workshops are an efficient and fun way to really advance to that next stage of athleticism.”
