Dr. Gill studies how our bodies and environments shape the way we move. As the director of the Motor Development Laboratory, she studies walking and motor functioning across the lifespan, with a special focus on how childhood and adult obesity impact our ability to adapt to change.
Using advanced tools like wearable sensors and digital pressure mats, Dr. Gill analyzes how children and adults modify their walking patterns. Ultimately, her research aims to revolutionize early childhood health outcomes and create cutting-edge interventions that detect and minimize fall risks and improve health outcomes across the lifespan.
