Woods Wins FLAS
Beth Woods, a doctoral student in our French Language & Literature program, has won a Foreign Language & Area Studies (FLAS) award to support her in studying Wolof. Beth studies Francophone literature in Africa and she says that knowing Wolof will help her to study Senegalese literature more authentically and will enable her to analyze the effects of Senegelese literature on both the French and Wolof languages.
