Renting an apartment doesn’t need to be confusing. The Boston University Real Estate office has simplified the process to make finding and renting an apartment easy.

Step 1 Complete the Rental Interest Form. A member of our staff will reach out to discuss potential apartment options that may meet your preferences!

Step 2 Schedule an apartment tour to visit any apartments that you are interested in.

Step 3 After looking at available units, you select the apartment that best suits your needs. We suggest you act quickly when making your selection because available apartments tend to rent quickly, particularly during the busy summer rental season and between semesters. A non-refundable reservation payment will be required to secure the apartment.

(Please Note: All faculty and staff rentals are subject to approval by the Office of the Provost.)

Step 4 You will sign the lease to the apartment shortly after reserving the unit.

Step 5 On the day that your rental agreement starts, visit our office, pick up your keys, and move in.

It’s as simple as that!

Unlike most area realtors and landlords, Boston University does not require that you pay a broker’s fee or the last month’s rent in advance. We believe that renting your new apartment should be as easy and stress-free as possible.
