MS in Business Analytics
Senior Manager, AuxoAI
“The Questrom MSBA is a brilliant and intense program for those who enjoy getting into the weeds. It offers immense learning value and prepares you really well for the roles you take on after the degree.”
As a child who grew up spending a lot of time in hospitals with bronchial asthma, Urvashi realized early on that access to quality healthcare cannot be taken for granted.
“I have immense respect and admiration for the work healthcare practitioners do every day to make our lives easier, healthier, and longer,” she says. “I somehow always knew I wanted to contribute to this ecosystem in whatever capacity I could.”
Urvashi learned that the solutions to many healthcare problems lie in technology, and that’s where she wanted to make an impact. “While working in healthcare consulting, it became evident to me that data is truly the most valuable asset in health-tech, so I was keen to formalize my training in analytics through education.” She chose Questrom’s MS in Business Analytics to help her reach her goal.
Urvashi already had an MBA from the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad. She also had nearly five year’s work experience in consulting at Deloitte and in healthcare with Strategy&. She was looking for a program that offered techniques and business application all rolled into one.
“The MSBA program is unparalleled in this regard,” she says. “The program is rigorous and so relevant to the industry that I’m already using multiple skills I developed during the program in my current role.”
Today, Urvashi works for CVS Health, a Fortune 10 company and leading health solutions provider. She joined the digital products team as a senior product manager, and initially she’ll work on health dashboards to ensure consumers are supported through health and wellness recommendations that will help them better manage their care.
Urvashi credits her Questrom professors and the connections she made in Boston, a hub for healthcare, with helping her land her job. “The professors and administration are so invested in your journey that you feel like you have your own cheerleading team nudging you on,” she says.
“To add to all of this, Boston is the epicenter of healthcare innovation in the United States. This is reflected in the quality of the organizations involved in our capstone projects during the program.”
