Marko Ratesic

COO of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group in the Americas, Goldman Sachs

Marko is chief operating officer of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group (FSIG) in the Americas. He is also a captain of Investment Banking Services (Client Coverage) and is responsible for some of the firm’s largest financial sponsor and consumer clients.

Marko joined Goldman Sachs in 2006 in New York as a vice president in the Consumer Retail Group as a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions department. He joined Investment Banking Services in 2009 and relocated to Chicago in 2012 to help lead investment banking in the Midwest Region. Marko returned to New York in 2021.

Marko was named managing director in 2009 and partner in 2016. Prior to joining the firm, he was a vice president in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Bank of America, where he began his career as an analyst.

Marko earned a BS in Business Administration from Boston University in 1998.
