He/Him/His

Jacob J. Kahn, MS, MBA, PMP, SPC

Jacob leads business and digital transformation at Lockheed Martin, including 1LMX, one of the defense industry’s largest ERP transformations (a roughly $6B, company-wide program). He came into technology through finance — advising approximately $4B in institutional endowment and foundation portfolios at Cambridge Associates, and earlier working in international markets at Brown Brothers Harriman — and holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Data Analytics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. That pivot, from investment management into large-scale technology and operations, is a favorite topic with prospective students.

He chose the Online MBA to keep building without stepping away from a demanding full-time role, and found a close community along the way: he and his wife, another Questrom OMBA, are regulars at the program’s monthly Fuller Pub meetups. He has since mentored BU undergraduates and currently serves on the OMBA Alumni Council.

Service has been a throughline well before BU. At Harvard College, Jacob was a freshman and sophomore advisor, a first-generation/low-income alumni mentor, a residential proctor, and a business tutor at Eliot House. His engagement has only deepened since: he has interviewed prospective undergraduates since 2021, served as a Harvard University Marshal for the past two years, taken part in the Alumni Leadership Conference for the past three, and sits on the board of the Harvard Alumni Aerospace & Defense Organization.

Increasingly focused on corporate governance, Jacob is Private Equity Certified through the Private Directors Association and holds an ESOP certificate. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Nasdaq Center for Board Excellence, and serves on the advisory board of Harvard Business Review.
