
Hassan Alaghband

Hassan Alaghband worked as an associate in the US law firm Gibson Dunn & Crutcher for six years after graduating from law school. He also taught as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Boston University School of Management from 1978-1980 and as an Associate Professor of Law at American University from 1985-1986. Mr. Alaghband joined Balli Holdings in 1990, focusing on private equity investments in emerging markets. He then started his own family investment office under Unison Investments Limited in January 2017. Unison Investment Limited’s portfolio over the years has been quite varied both in terms of industry and geography. Currently, the office is focusing on healthtech and automotive.
Mr. Alaghband served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American School in London from 1999 to 2011. He also served on the board of trustees of Ubuntu Education Fund, a South-African based charity serving over 40,000 Aids-infected and AIDS-affected children in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Mr. Alaghband’s interests include cinema, books, classical music, tennis, skiing, and running.
