MS in Management Studies
“The professors here are unlike any other professors I had undergrad. They truly care about students and make personal connections with us.”
Brooke Wallace, MSMS ’23, thought a business career was out of reach. With a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science and Spanish from the University of Connecticut, she’d never taken a single business class. Then she discovered Questrom’s MSMS program.
“I was a bit nervous, but then I read that the MSMS looks for students with little-to-no business background,” says Brooke. “I also really liked that it required hands-on experience with real companies. And I wanted to be in Boston—a city with tons of opportunities and a large business network.”
When Brooke experienced how willing her MSMS professor were to help, she knew she could handle business school. “The professors here are unlike any other professors I had in undergrad. They truly care about students and make personal connections with us.”
While Brooke has high praise for her professors and classes, a highlight of the program for her is the Brand Slam event she co-hosted—a fun talent show featuring MSMS students willing to share something they’re passionate about.
“Say yes to any and every opportunity,” Brooke advises potential MSMS students. “I know it’s cliché, but if I hadn’t decided to join this program, I wouldn’t have had such amazing experiences with my professors and classmates.”
Not only is Brooke on her way to earning a top-ranked business degree, but now she also has a clearer vision of her career objectives. “I know now I want to work in marketing, PR, or event planning,” she says, “with the goal of starting my own company.”
“IF I HADN’T DECIDED TO JOIN THIS PROGRAM, I WOULDN’T HAVE HAD SUCH AMAZING EXPERIENCES WITH MY PROFESSORS AND CLASSMATES.”
